Rick’s Blog: The Three Levels of Abusive Personalities

Abusive people have many derogatory nick names but essentially they fall into three levels–one being the least offensive and the third bringing real harm to others. In other words, using the popular vernacular, we know them as assholes, who can be men or women.

Level One–These are the petty clerks that work behind counters in places we all have to visit like the Motor Vehicle Department, or other government service counters. Most are women in this category. They are chosen randomly–not for their ability to communicate effectively with the public. In fact, they go out of their way to be rude and officious. Why? Because they were never taught communication skills and the government authority that hired them to fill boring low paying jobs doesn’t care about their employees being nice or polite. "Just stay behind the yellow line sir!" The one rule they follow is the longer the line to their window the shorter time between their breaks. And you know that when you finally get to their window, they take their break.

Impatient drivers and vehicle operators who are prone to instant road rage fall into Level One abusers. They will flip you the bird at the slightest provocation, like when the light turns green and you don’t instantly jam down the accelerator, they go ape, extending the middle finger out of their window. God forbid that you stop on the yellow light instead of whizzing through as it turns red. The guy behind you will turn red with rage. These are the people that make our lives harder and raise the stress level to DEFCON 2.

Level Two–These are the kiss-ass middle managers and back stabbing colleagues who will stop at nothing to get to the top, regardless of who they step on or get fired. The have their lips permanently attached to the bosses’ buttocks. They’re also disingenuous, pretending to be your friend as they quietly sink the knife into your back. Fortunately, these Level Two dunderheads go too far and piss off the boss or their jobs are eliminated. We’d love to kick their butts, but we fear going to jail and being Big Luther’s bitch. In quantum physics terms these nitwits cancel themselves out, but while they’re in play, they make their colleagues suffer unnecessary anger and suffer DEFCON 3 stress.

Finally, Level Three–DEFCON 4 stress. Ah yes, these belligerent hard-asses hold high positions of authority such as CEOs, small business owners or presidents of companies or nations. They get off on telling other people what to do. They love firing loyal, hard working employees just because they can. Just thinking about downsizing their company gives them a sexual thrill. A few are Marxist psychopaths like Yugo Chevaz or Fidel Castro. Most CEOs of American companies have termination perks like golden parachutes. Even if they run the company into the ground they get their millions that they didn’t earn. They are only hired for their stock portfolios and political influence in Washington. Instead of taking a drop in salary when the company is swimming in red ink, they layoff employees to reduce the company’s expenses. Ken Lay of Enron was a Level Three knuckle-head, but he had the good sense to die before he went to jail. He left behind thousands of people who lost their life savings and jobs.

My theory about Level Three personalities is they were able to advance their careers with no pangs of conscience. They’re ruthless, unfeeling, and greedy. They usually marry trophy wives half their age. Presidential candidate Fred Thompson is a Level Three personality with his trophy wife at his side. He’s 64 and she’s 40. She struts around in low cut dresses showing enough cleavage to sink the Titanic to take people’s eyes off Thompson’s scary face.

Funny, Level Three personalities are always Republicans--an euphemism for high level hypocrites. They rail against gays and liberals then solicit the guy in the next stall. Then when the guy turns out to be a cop, they argue that they are not gay and they didn’t really want a blow-job. These scumbags are abusive personalities who beat their wives, and cause thousands, even millions, of people pain and suffering. We all know them and have been screwed by them. People like Vice President Cheney have no shame or conscience. Yet, they’re well connected and belong to secret societies that run the world. As ordinary Americans, they are beyond our reach. We can only hope that their hearts will explode before they get too old. Then let God judge them.
